Harry Conn has been following the musical path ever since his curiosity sparked for the guitar at a very young age. As he grew up with the guitar, he studied under the instructions of many teachers in many schools in both Vietnam and the United States, starting out in Hanoi Children’s Palace when he was eight, moving on to Hanoi College of the Arts at eleven, Vietnam National Academy of Music at thirteen, Interlochen Arts Academy at fifteen, started as a junior in high school and currently an undergraduate senior in the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), under the instruction of Joseph Pecoraro.
Harry had the chance to perform in a great number of events and take part in many contests in different countries around the globe, including Vietnam, Thailand, Germany, and the United States. He is the winner of many competitions and festivals, including the Hanoi Open Guitar Contest in Hanoi, Altamira Guitar Competition in Bangkok, and in the US: Piedmont Classical Guitar Society’s Guitar Festival Guitarganza, Appalachian State Guitar Festival, Greensboro’s Euterpe Music Club Scholarship Competition, and UNCSA Concerto Competition.
Harry became a Certified Suzuki Guitar Teacher in 2021 after his training with Suzuki Teacher Trainer Joseph Pecoraro. Coming from a family of teachers and educators, he takes great care and pleasure in using the skill and knowledge he learned to serve the community around him through community engagement program such as ArtistCorps.
